Natural Hair Care Program – 300 Hours

Our Natural Hair Care Program is designed to prepare future professionals with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to excel in today’s natural hair industry. Over the course of 300 hours, students receive hands-on training in braiding, twisting, locking, weaving, and natural styling, along with foundational instruction in hair theory, sanitation, client care, and business essentials.

With small class sizes and personalized mentorship, each student benefits from one-on-one guidance and real salon experience in our clinic setting. Graduates are fully prepared to sit for the North Carolina State Board Exam and launch a successful career as a licensed Natural Hair Care Specialist.

Program Schedule Options

We offer flexible scheduling to fit your lifestyle, with both Day Track and Night Track options available.

📅 Day Track

  • Tuesday – Friday

  • 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM

  • Complete in approximately 3.5 months

🌙 Night Track

  • Monday – Thursday

  • 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM

  • Complete in approximately 5 months

Tiffany ‘ Roman’ Lee (Ms. Tiffany)

I am a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Family and Consumer Science with a concentration in Fashion Merchandising and Design in 2007—Aggie Pride! My professional journey has been deeply rooted in natural hair care, with more than 10 years of experience as a licensed stylist specializing in extensions, protective styles, and textured hair care solutions.

As the owner of Roman’s Beauty Bar for over a decade, I have been blessed to serve a loyal clientele while staying on the forefront of innovation in the beauty industry. Those years behind the chair have not only sharpened my technical skills, but also instilled in me a passion for mentoring and empowering others to embrace both the artistry and professionalism of this field.

Now, as an instructor at Texture Lab Academy, I am excited to merge my salon expertise with my love for education. Teaching allows me to give back what was once poured into me—knowledge, confidence, and pride in our craft. My goal is to inspire the next generation of natural hair care professionals to build successful careers while honoring the beauty and versatility of textured hair.

Venus Moore (Ms. Vee)

I am a Master Loctician with more than 30 years of hands-on experience in natural hair care. My journey began with a deep passion for helping individuals embrace their natural beauty, and that passion has only grown stronger with time.

I studied at Carolina Beauty School and Winston Salem Barber School, and I also earned an Associate’s degree in Business from Phoenix University. These experiences shaped not only my technical foundation but also my ability to guide, mentor, and inspire others.

Teaching is truly where my heart lies. I believe in passing on what was once given to me—knowledge, confidence, and pride in our roots. Whether I am behind the chair or in front of a classroom, my mission is to uplift others through education, empowerment, and a love for natural hair.
